quilt exhibition- Quilt-Ausstellung

Yesterday was meeting and chatting day.
I exchanged a lot of business cards and actually was recognized by a friend of Ravelry which ended up in three hours of German conversation and lots of giggles.

Take a look on those blogs of the creative girls I met
Sue Spargo
Cecile Franconie
great guys -great sources of inspiration

Before I am leaving Nantes today on high noon I just want to pop into the brilliant exhibition again to get some photos without gathering too much between the tempting booths in the basement.
You have to pass through to get to quilter's inspirational heaven........
I have to admit some books will have to follow me home........

pictures are coming soon, this internet connection drives me crazy, lets them break down if I am loading more than two pics- no patience for those "bêtises"

See ya!

Patchworkkurse-Taking Classes

Spannung!

Was soll ich sagen...................

Yesterday I had booked two classes

I was not sure what to expect

applique was quite an unknown landscape

it is not more

I had so much fun

Janet Bolton is such a lovely lady with great ways to encourage your creativiy

and Sue Spargo caught me with another bug -woolfelt applique

one of Sue's adorable works in progress:
aren't they lovely, those birdies?

Sue's crew: daughter, friend and sister
lots to laugh and knitting knowhow to share:)

Sue Spargo's Beehive

Endlich da- finally here

- Wifi gebastelt , kurz e-mails abgeholt, etwas Fernsehen geguckt zwecks Vokabular

what an adventure

I had to change my flight to Nantes to a train trip- thanks Eyja...jökull

in short what I had yesterday:

last parking space in the station parking lot

nearly missed the ICE to Cologne, first train was late, I had to run

had to fetch my Thalys ticket outside Cologne station where lots of police waited for a demonstration of students and pupils

oh, no sitting reservation? okay, Iwas lucky, I got a seat

Paris Nord to Paris Montparnasse by metro in 45 minutes-a lot to walk with luggage

finally in the TGV to Nantes- time for a nap

Nantes, where is the tourist information? not at the station- at the chateau, f...

looking for the hotel I stumbled over Ladroguerie in the old town- two skeins of lovely summery yarns followed me (I had finished my scarves in train, well done, deserved a gratification, mind you?)

I never left my bed last evening
I collapsed there to have a short look on my e-mails
another short glimpse on French TVprogrammes

and was lucky enough to have brought with me those ear things
it was a little bit noisy outside

today classes with Janet Bolton and Sue Spargo are on the agenda

taking pictures wherever I can

A bientot!

please! for all those who stranded or got stopped on their aerial ways

we need some wind and heavy rains,

sounds just crazy to put this on my wishlist, I know,

but actually I booked a flight to Nantes recently to take a class with Sarah and Janet Bolton to get some quilty input for the Dollie classes to come.

Now we will all just drink tea and wait

and will be left to hope for very bad weather;)

Eventually I will get on with my Dollies Online project for March

being a little bit behind all but nevertheless motivated to add something as pretty as this to a wall

when finished so far.

I am at putting together the strips actually and blogging with my brandnew toy

Heavy rains and wind

on a sunny day-

life is an adventure and never boring!

bunnies and fairies- Elfen und Osterhasen

Once upon a time a very pinkish charm pack was sitting on my work table

it met with some Japanese bunnies in my stash

and halfsquares were born

then a pretty collection of Marcus Brother fabrics were delivered to the shop last week
Porcelina: light grey paisleys, pastel dots and a bold check

two snippets with pink Michael Miller fairies toile could easily blend with them

and said:

quilt
